POOLCORP’s work hard, play hard culture is ideal for passionate recent college graduates ready to begin their career. Camaraderie and teamwork is the cornerstone of our program and Manager Trainees (MITs) are encouraged to form collaborative relationships with their peers and co-workers.
This entry-level program was designed to prepare MITs for opportunities in B2B Sales and Operations Management within six months.
MITs are hosted at distribution centers across the U.S. and Canada, where they learn regional products and are provided structured hands-on training in every position. We also have an orientation at our corporate office in Covington, Louisiana, which includes: POOLCORP history, policies & procedures, getting to know your corporate support team and a meet and greet with upper management including the CEO and CFO. Our goal is to provide you with industry knowledge, leadership skills and the tools necessary to succeed.
We recognize there are many different learning styles, therefore, we combine monthly classroom training taught in a number of ways including lectures, projects, and role play at either our state-of-the-art EDGEucation Center, located in Plano, TX or in the virtual classroom. After each session, MITs return to their host sales center and for the remainder of the month apply the concepts and material presented by the EDGE team.
Aside from the direct impact, you will have on your host sales center, our leadership team is always eager to hear from our future leaders and encourages them to implement change. You will have an opportunity at the conclusion of the program to discuss your MIT experience and innovative ideas to Sr. Level Management.
MITs also participate in a community service project, such as building a home for a local family or helping to create food boxes for those in need.
